Prima Acrylic and Mediums

Prima Acrylic Paints

There are 39 colours in the Prima Acrylic range. With their creamy consistency and covering power, they were developed to achieve professional results at one affordable price.

Prima Acrylics are pigment rich and will retain their integrity when mixed with mediums. Prima Acrylics do not fade out when mixed with white as so many other brands do.

Prima Acrylic colours easily out perform student quality acrylics, and prima's superior depth of colour, will match, and in some cases actually surpass other more expensive acrylic paints.

Prima Acrylics are available in 118ml Tubes.

Prima Acrylic Mediums

There are 9 diffrent acrylic mediums that are available for mixing with Prima Acrylic paints.

Gloss Varnish provides a permanent, protective gloss finish for canvases and surfaces painted with

acrylic paint. It dries to an even soft gloss. It can also be used as a painting medium and will thin paint

and improve brush flow. When mixing with gloss varnish, colour transparency will increase.

Matt Varnish provides a permanent, protective matt finish for canvases and surfaces painted with

acrylic paint. It can be used as a painting medium and will improve brush flow. Drying time

will be prolonged and acrylic paints will dry to an even, non-reflective finish.

Add dimension and texture to acrylic paint finishes with this unbelievable medium. Use it as a highlighting touch

or to enhance entire surfaces. This versatile medium dries flexible and resists cracking. It can be applied to

almost any surface and can also be mixed with watercolours.

Flow Medium thins acrylic colours and produces a smooth flow and workability to acrylic paints. It improves

colour blending and minimises brush strokes. It is infinitely better than water for thinning acrylic paints

as it retains the richness of the colours. This medium will slow drying time.

Glazing medium provides a transparent, yet full-bodied colour, which will also extend the

acrylic paint. It will improve paint adhesion and flow, reduce brush drag and improve flexibility.

Paint mixed with glazing medium will dry to a soft satin sheen.

Fabric Medium transforms acrylic colours to smooth flowing permanent fabric paints. These will then perform

similar to an acrylic dye, because it permits the paint to be absorbed into the fabric, rather than sitting on top.

It dries flexible and will not peel.

Glass and Tlie Medium imparts an excellent, permanent adhesion for acrylic paints on non-porous

surfaces such as tile and glass. When mixed with acrylics, it transparentises colour and slows drying time.

Items painted with acrylic paints are for decorative purposes only and should not be used for food service.

Crackle medium creates a cracked, antiquated appearance on surface paint, which will then

display the underlying layer of paint,in order to replicate the affects of an aging surface.

It can be used on wood, plaster, canvas, primed metal, paper and ceramics.

Pumice stone course is used to create a gritty surface texture which dries hard, yet flexible. It can

be applied under paint or mixed with paint, and can be mixed with other mediums to create special effects.
